The Five Behaviors®

Creating a culture of teamwork
The Five Behaviors - Isle Of Innovation

About The Five Behaviors® of a Cohesive Team

The Five Behaviors® of a Cohesive Team has a simple goal: To help people discover how to build a truly cohesive and effective team. Based on Patrick Lencioni’s internationally best-selling leadership fable The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, this assessment-based program focuses on putting The Five Behaviors™ model into practice. Additionally, two versions of the program are available: Powered by Everything DiSC® or All Types™ — two distinct personality models — which help participants better understand how individual personalities contribute to team development. Both are equally valuable in helping teams achieve greater effectiveness and productivity.

The Five Behaviors® Model

R

Trust One Another

When team members are genuinely transparent and honest with one another, it forms a safe environment that creates and builds vulnerability-based trust.

R

Engage in Conflict Around Ideas

With trust, team members are able to engage in unfiltered, constructive debate of ideas.

R

Commit to Decisions

When team members are able to offer opinions and debate ideas, they feel heard and respected, and will be more likely to commit to decisions.

R

Focus on Achieving Collective Results

The ultimate goal is the achievement of results, unlocked through implementing the model’s principles of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, and Accountability.

R

Hold One Another Accountable

Once everyone is committed to a clear plan of action, they will be more willing to hold one another accountable.
